Jacques César
Executive Director
Jacques is Lidè's new Executive Director. He brings extensive experience as a dedicated grants and project manager along with a deep commitment to the nonprofit sector. His transition from banking to nonprofit work allowed him to align his career with his passion for empowering communities and driving social change.
Throughout his career in Haiti, Jacques has built and nurtured relationships with diverse stakeholders, including donors, funders, and community members, focusing on collaboration and impactful project delivery. With extensive experience across sectors such as civil society, health, agriculture, community development, and youth development, Jacques has successfully managed projects supported by prestigious donors including USAID, the European Union, Canadian Global Affairs (formerly CIDA), and various private foundations. His professional journey includes roles such as Project Manager and Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist at Volontariat pour le Développement d’Haïti.
Jacques has also held key positions in USAID-funded projects: Monitoring and Evaluation Manager at Internews, Grants and Project Manager at Cultivating New Frontiers in Agriculture (CNFA)/MarChE, and Manager of Grants, Procurement, and Subcontracts at DAI for the Haïti Feed The Future North (FTFN)/Appui à la Valorisation du Potentiel Agricole du Nord pour la Sécurité Économique et Environnementale (AVANSE) project, where he also served as Interim Deputy Chief Of Party. This diverse background has equipped him with valuable insights into grant management, project oversight, and financial stewardship. Jacques' leadership philosophy is rooted in mentorship, continuous learning, and servant leadership.
He is passionate about guiding and training team members, unlocking their full potential, and fostering a supportive environment. Recognizing that staff is the backbone of success in any NGO, Jacques embodies a spirit of collaboration. By fostering a culture of growth and support, Jacques ensures his team excels and contributes meaningfully to their communities. He is fluent in English, French, and Haitian Creole.
